I’m Lou, and I’m a Melbourne-based designer. I’d like to say I’m a complex human being who often contemplates existential issues, but really my biggest problems consist of what font size to use and where to holiday next. In a nutshell, I love design, making cool stuff with other creatives, illustration, type and drawing silly things.
What does water mean to you?
A dreamtime story which I remember from being a kid was Tiddalik the frog, who drunk up all the water at the watering hole leaving none for the other animals. The animals tried to make him laugh so that so that maybe the water would flow out of his mouth. The kookaburra, wombat, kangaroo all tried their best jokes but it was the snake and his dancing which finally made Tiddalik grin. All the water came flooding out and the animals and people were no longer thirsty so that it became a paradise for food, water and shelter.

For me the importance of water is that it gives us all those three basic things: food, water and nature.
